Laverne Cox made a striking fashion statement at the 2026 Essence Black Women In Hollywood Awards with a sculptural black gown that notably left her pantsless. The actress has recently embraced this bold style, having sported a similar look just a week earlier at the 37th Annual GLAAD Media Awards.
Both standout outfits were designed by the French fashion house Mugler. At the Essence event on March 12, Cox wore a dress that featured an eye-catching black corset top with an asymmetrical neckline, paired with a sheer black skirt that completed the pantsless look. She accessorized this daring ensemble with coordinated sheer black gloves, tights, and a vibrant red lip, solidifying her presence on the red carpet.
