Aaron Pierre Cast as the Newest Addition to the Upcoming Superman Sequel
Aaron Pierre has been cast in DC Studios’ upcoming film Man of Tomorrow, a sequel to the successful 2025 film Superman. Under the direction and script of James Gunn, the film is set to open on July 9, 2027, with David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult expected to reprise their roles as Superman/Clark Kent and Lex Luthor, respectively.
DC Studios did not respond to requests for comment.
In this new installment, Superman and Luthor will join forces to confront the technological alien menace known as Brainiac, portrayed by Lars Eidinger.
Rachel Brosnahan, Skyler Gisondo, and Sara Sampaio are among those returning from the previous film. Production is slated to begin in April in Atlanta, continuing into the summer.
For Pierre, this marks his second project with DC Studios, as he is also set to star in the Green Lanterns series, titled Lanterns, scheduled for release this summer on HBO. Additionally, he will appear in the upcoming Star Wars film, Star Wars: Starfighter, debuting next summer.
