Yellow Veil Pictures Takes North American Sales for SXSW Horror Anthology ‘Grind’
Yellow Veil Pictures Secures North American Sales for Horror Anthology ‘Grind’ Ahead of SXSW Premiere
Yellow Veil Pictures has announced its involvement in North American sales for the upcoming horror anthology Grind, directed by Brea Grant, Ed Dougherty, and Chelsea Stardust. The film is set to make its world premiere in the Midnight section at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival.
Grind addresses contemporary work-related anxieties and the pressures of late-stage capitalism through four interconnected narratives. These stories draw from the intense experiences of a multi-level marketing (MLM) company, the monotony faced by a food delivery driver, the unsettling realities of a content moderator, and the push for unionization at a familiar coffee shop.
“Grind subverts the anthology genre by creating something more cohesive and interconnected, tapping into the emotions we all grapple with while also delivering humor,” said Joe Yanick, co-founder of Yellow Veil Pictures. “It’s the perfect kind of film to present to SXSW audiences, and we eagerly anticipate their reactions.”
The ensemble cast features Rob Huebel, Barbara Crampton, Vinny Thomas, Jessika Van, Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette, James Urbaniak, Courtney Pauroso, James Paxton, Ify Nwadiwe, and Aubrey Shea.
Grant and Dougherty, who previously examined challenges in workplace culture in their 2024 short film MLM, wrote the screenplay and co-produced Grind alongside Chelsea Stardust.
Yellow Veil Pictures, based in New York City and Los Angeles, is also presently showcasing another title at SXSW, Ugly Cry.
