Kash Patel Shares Exciting News About UFC Fighters Training FBI Agents This Week
In a unique collaboration, FBI Director Kash Patel has announced a seminar designed to sharpen the skills of FBI agents through an alliance with the UFC. Just weeks after celebrating the U.S. Men’s Olympic hockey team’s Gold Medal victory in Italy, Patel is embracing another athletic milestone.
“I’m thrilled to announce this historic seminar between the FBI and the UFC at Quantico,” Patel stated in a press release from the UFC. “This is a tremendous opportunity for our FBI agents to learn and train with some of the greatest athletes on earth — helping the world’s premier law enforcement agency be even better prepared to protect the American people.”
The training, set to occur at the FBI Special Agent Academy in Quantico on March 15 and 16, will provide participants with insights into UFC fighters’ training methods as well as various combat techniques. It is intended for academy students and senior FBI personnel from across the globe.
Patel initially proposed the idea during a teleconference with heads of the FBI’s 55 field offices shortly after he assumed leadership of the Bureau last year.
UFC CEO Dana White, known for his allegiance to President Trump, is supportive of this initiative. White has previously spoken at major Republican events and has collaborated with Trump on various promotional activities.
Patel expressed high regard for White and the UFC, stating, “Dana White has changed the game in the mixed martial arts industry and we’re extremely honored to be partnered with him, the professionals, and the UFC. We are grateful for their shared love of our nation, so that we can better defend her.”
According to a UFC press release, the seminar is part of a broader initiative by the FBI to explore innovative training options and continually enhance agents’ preparedness.
Prominent fighters participating include current interim UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethje, former champions Jorge Masvidal and Chris Weidman, former title challengers Claudia Gadelha and Michael Chandler, as well as top flyweight contender Manel Kape and MMA legend Renzo Gracie.
“I have tremendous respect for the FBI and the work they do every day to protect this country,” White remarked. “It’s an incredible opportunity for our athletes…and we’re proud to support the FBI in strengthening their defense techniques.”
