Beverly Hills Residents Share Their Thoughts on Gunfire Incident Near Rihanna’s Home
Shooting Incident at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills Home Under Investigation
A woman reportedly fired multiple shots at the Beverly Hills residence of pop superstar Rihanna on Sunday while the artist was inside. Fortunately, Rihanna was unharmed during the incident.
Authorities stated that approximately ten gunshots were fired from a vehicle directed toward the property, with at least one bullet penetrating the home’s walls. The suspect was arrested later that day in nearby Sherman Oaks, and police are currently investigating the motive behind the shooting.
Residents of the affluent neighborhood expressed concern over the rapid gunfire that echoed through the area. Keith England, a neighbor, recounted the frightening experience. “It was scary. I can’t imagine being in the house hearing the bullets hit,” he said, noting the rapid succession of shots—“Bam, bam, bam, bam, bam — probably 10 shots,” he added.
Another neighbor, Isabel Thorne, commented on the clarity of the sound in the valley, saying, “It was really loud, and everything echoes in this valley. A shot — it’s not something you expect.”
England highlighted the unexpected nature of the incident for the neighborhood, stating, “Given the neighborhood, you don’t usually expect drive-by shootings in a place like this. But they’re everywhere now.”
The property has been the target of previous incidents; a burglary at the home was reported in 2018, with surveillance footage capturing the suspects. As the investigation unfolds, authorities have not yet disclosed the identity of the woman arrested, and no injuries have been reported.
