Paramount+ Brings Back Reality TV with New Relationship Series ‘Making Love’ from Kinetic Content
EXCLUSIVE: Paramount+ is making a significant move in the reality television sector, following its recent leadership change.
The streaming service has commissioned a new dating series titled Making Love from Kinetic Content, the producer behind popular shows like Netflix’s Love Is Blind and Peacock’s Married at First Sight.
Set to debut in 2027, Making Love marks Paramount+’s first unscripted series greenlit under the new management of David Ellison’s Skydance, with Cindy Holland serving as Chair of Direct-to-Consumer and Jane Wiseman as Head of Originals.

According to Paramount+, Making Love is a “bold new relationship experiment,” where singles will strive to transform their desires into lifelong love. The series poses a compelling question: Can you find the person you’ve always dreamed of?
Created by Kinetic Content CEO Coelen, the series will feature him as an executive producer, collaborating with Paramount TV Studios.
Kinetic Content, which is currently in the process of being acquired by European studio Mediawan, has helped define the reality television landscape for various broadcasters and streaming platforms. Shows like Love Is Blind, now in its 10th season, and Married at First Sight, previously a flagship series on A+E Networks, have solidified Kinetic’s reputation in the industry.
Paramount+ has had a tumultuous history with unscripted programming, previously launching several streaming spinoffs from established shows, including The Real World Homecoming and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars. However, it has struggled to establish standalone original series, with only a few, such as The Family Stallone, making an impact.
There is optimism within the unscripted division that under the leadership of Wiseman and Holland, Paramount+ could emerge as a significant player in acquiring reality formats and series, competing with giants like Netflix and traditional broadcast networks.
“We are thrilled to add Making Love, a bold, modern take on relationship experimentation, to our upcoming content slate,” said Wiseman. “This series speaks to the kind of premium, pop culture-driven unscripted storytelling audiences love. As we continue to grow our reality offering, we’re especially excited to reintroduce this format to Paramount+ in a fresh and unexpected way.”
Coelen added, “Making Love is an amazing and completely original opportunity for our participants to find the love they’ve longed for. We’re so excited to partner with the team at Paramount+ and can’t wait to share this show, and some truly incredible love stories, with the world.”
