White House Uses Pop Culture References in New Video About Iran Strikes
As tensions escalate between the United States and Iran, the Trump administration has released a provocative video celebrating U.S. and Israeli military actions in the region. The clip features an array of cinematic references designed to evoke a sense of American might.
On Thursday, the White House showcased a compilation of drone footage from recent bombings in Iran, interspersed with scenes from popular action films, including Bryan Cranston’s portrayal of Walter White in Breaking Bad and Adam Driver as Kylo Ren in the Star Wars series.
“JUSTICE THE AMERICAN WAY,” the White House captioned the video.
The video opens with a clip from Tom Cruise’s 2002 sci-fi thriller Minority Report, featuring additional footage from Top Gun: Maverick and Tropic Thunder. Other films incorporated into the supercut include Gladiator, Patriot, John Wick, Superman, Transformers, Deadpool, and Halo.

This latest release follows criticism from pop star Kesha, who expressed her discontent over the administration using her song “Blow” in conjunction with a video featuring a jet launching a missile under the title “Lethality.”

The political climate intensified further last week when Iranian state television announced the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. His passing was reported to coincide with U.S. and Israeli airstrikes, which Trump claimed marked the end of Khamenei’s 37-year regime. Multiple other Iranian leaders were also reported killed during the attacks.
Following these events, Trump has projected a four-to-five-week conflict, asserting that the administration will do “whatever it takes.” He has characterized the strikes as essential for dismantling Iran’s nuclear capabilities, crippling its naval power, preventing the acquisition of nuclear weapons, and ensuring the regime cannot project military force outside its borders.
