Kelly Osbourne Enjoys a Fun Girls’ Night Out with Mom Sharon at the 2026 Brit Awards
Kelly Osbourne Stands Strong Amid Body-Shaming Criticism
Kelly Osbourne, 41, recently appeared at the 2026 Brit Awards, showcasing resilience in the face of ongoing body-shaming remarks. Accompanied by her mother, Sharon Osbourne, the duo made a notable entrance at Manchester’s Co-Op Live, both donning elegant black gowns that highlighted their striking styles.
Kelly opted for a sleek, strapless design complemented by a furry coat, while accessorizing with layered gold necklaces and matching rings. Sharon, 73, chose a unique tuxedo-inspired frock and an untied, polka-dot bowtie, creating a chic mother-daughter appearance.
The Osbourne family’s outing occurred shortly after Kelly addressed online critics who claimed she had lost too much weight. In an Instagram Story posted on February 22, she expressed her disbelief at the accompanying abuse, stating, “Literally can’t believe how disgusting some human beings truly are. No one deserves this sort of abuse! This too shall pass, but like, holy f***.”
Kelly has been open about her struggles with weight, undergoing gastric sleeve surgery in 2018. Reflecting on her journey, she told Us Weekly in August 2020, “I lost, like, I want to say 35 pounds, 40 pounds, and then I stopped losing weight… you have to do every single thing that they tell you to do when you do the surgery, or it doesn’t work.” This struggle has been exacerbated by personal tragedies, including the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away at age 76 in July 2025.
In a December 2025 social media video, Kelly remarked on the mixed responses she received following her father’s death, acknowledging the “lovely comments” that helped her through the tough time while calling out the “disgusting, horrible, mean, rude comments” about her appearance.
Kelly emphasized the unrealistic expectations imposed on her during such a challenging period. “What do you expect me to look like right now?” she questioned the critics. “The fact that I’m getting out of bed and facing my life and trying to be more than enough, I should be commended for that.”
Addressing accusations of looking unwell in recent photos, she insisted on the challenges she faces and the way life experiences can change one’s appearance. “You say that I look ill. Well, I am ill right now. My life is completely flipped upside down,” she explained.
The most disheartening aspect for Kelly has been the source of the criticism. “Most of the comments are coming from grown ass women,” she noted. “They’d rather tear them down when their dad just died. It’s disgusting, and I’ve had enough of it. So, go f*** yourself.”
As Osbourne continues to navigate her personal challenges, her story resonates as a powerful testament to resilience and self-acceptance in the face of scrutiny.
