Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Praya Lundberg, Timothy V Murphy, Lochlyn Munro, and Tayme Thapthimthong Complete Filming in Thailand for ‘Blood and Dust’
Filming Wraps on Action-Thriller Blood and Dust in Thailand
Filming for the action-thriller Blood and Dust has concluded in Thailand, featuring Golden Globe winner Jonathan Rhys Meyers and actress Praya Lundberg.
Directed by Adam Sherman, who also wrote and produced the film, Blood and Dust includes a notable cast comprising Timothy V. Murphy, Lochlyn Munro, Tayme Thapthimthong, Florence Faivre, and Akeira Hadden.
The film’s synopsis describes a mercenary hitman, played by Meyers, who becomes embroiled in the dangerous underbelly of Southeast Asia. Tasked with helping the abused wife of a nightclub owner, portrayed by Lundberg, escape the country with her daughter, he joins forces with a dancer-assassin. This partnership ignites a violent manhunt that spans highways, jungle backroads, and sun-soaked beaches—where survival hinges on bloodshed and chaos.
The production team includes producers Adam Sherman, Marcus Englefield, and George Lee from Storyoscopic Films, along with Noémi Santo of Adam Sherman Film. Co-producers Nicholas Simon and Chortip Thumvittayakul represent Indochina Productions.
Reflecting on the project, Sherman stated, “Blood and Dust brings together everything I love about storytelling. I had the chance to collaborate with an extraordinary cast – Jonathan, Praya, Timothy, Lochlyn, Tayme, Florence, and Akeira; reunite with my producing partners, George and Marcus; and forge exciting new creative relationships with Nicholas and Chortip. Shooting in Thailand was unforgettable, and the crew was truly world-class. The energy of the place is embedded in every frame, and everyone’s commitment and fearlessness elevated every moment we captured. I’m looking forward to sharing the film with audiences.”
Sherman’s previous works include Wristcutters: A Love Story (2006), Happiness Runs (2010), Crazy Eyes (2012), She’s Just A Shadow (2019), and This Game’s Called Murder (2021).
