Nick Cassavetes to Direct 308 Ent’s Film ‘No Angel’ Focused on an ATF Special Agent’s Hells Angels Infiltration
308 Enterprises to Develop Film Adaptation of ‘No Angel’
308 Enterprises is set to produce Known Associate, a feature film inspired by the book No Angel: My Harrowing Undercover Journey to the Inner Circle of the Hells Angels by Jay Dobyns and Nils Johnson-Shelton. Nick Cassavetes, known for directing The Notebook, will lead the project.
Published in 2009, No Angel details Dobyns’ extraordinary undercover mission as he infiltrated the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club from 2001 to 2003 during Operation Black Biscuit. This operation profoundly affected Dobyns’ identity and safety, as he navigated a dangerous criminal landscape to gather evidence against the infamous gang. The narrative captures his struggle to maintain his true self while facing dire consequences for himself and his loved ones.
No Angel is released through Canongate Books.
Cassavetes, whose previous works include John Q, My Sister’s Keeper, and Alpha Dog, is represented by WME and Yorn Levine Barnes.
In addition to Known Associate, 308 Enterprises is actively working on the supernatural thriller Unmerciful Good Fortune, featuring Rosario Dawson, Scott Eastwood, and Antonio Banderas, as well as the film Assassination, directed by Barry Levinson and starring Jessica Chastain, Al Pacino, Bryan Cranston, and Brendan Fraser.
