- Brooklyn Beckham gained nearly 1 million Instagram followers in the past month, according to data from Cupid PR.
- The surge began on January 19 after Brooklyn made several significant claims about his family.
- In a series of Instagram Stories, Brooklyn alleged ongoing attempts by his parents to undermine his marriage to Nicola Peltz Beckham.
Brooklyn Peltz Beckham’s recent revelations regarding his family have led to a substantial increase in his social media following. Data from Cupid PR indicates the 26-year-old’s Instagram account gained 937,109 followers in the last 30 days after a period of decline earlier in January.
The spike in followers started on January 19, coinciding with a series of alarming Instagram Stories Brooklyn shared about his family. Notable increases were observed between January 19 and January 21, with single-day gains accounting for 168,218, 461,315, and 225,055 followers.
“What this data shows very clearly is how quickly public attention can flip and how closely social media growth mirrors real-world conversation,” said Sophie Rhone, founder of Cupid PR. “Brooklyn Beckham’s Instagram account went from steady decline to explosive growth almost overnight.”
Rhone further noted, “In today’s attention economy, visibility isn’t driven purely by content output. It’s driven by moments. When personal narratives dominate the news cycle, social platforms act as real-time barometers for public curiosity.”

On January 19, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham spoke out on Instagram about his ongoing familial rift. His statements included criticisms of what he described as his family’s poor treatment of his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, whom he married in April 2022. He stated, “The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards. I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared. I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose and have found peace and relief. My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want is peace, privacy, and happiness for us and our future family.”
Later, Brooklyn added, “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.” He emphasized, “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled; I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
In early May, a source indicated that David and Victoria Beckham were unhappy with the rift with their son, stating, “The relationship is definitely not beyond repair. They love and are always there for Brooklyn. They’re just hurt and disappointed that he’s now playing no part in family life.” Additionally, the source noted that the Beckhams had repeatedly requested a meeting with Brooklyn and Nicola to discuss the situation, highlighting David’s deep affection for his children, including Brooklyn and his younger siblings.
Contrarily, Brooklyn’s claims suggest a lack of support during a family visit for David’s 50th birthday, during which he alleged that Victoria and David refused to meet with him and Nicola.
