New details have emerged regarding Tara Reid’s recent hospitalization. Police in Rosemont, Illinois, released a recording of a 911 call made just after midnight on November 23, in which a caller reported that the 50-year-old actress was “barely standing” and required medical assistance while lying on the floor of her hotel hallway.
In the audio obtained, the caller, appearing to be a staff member from the DoubleTree Chicago O’Hare Airport, describes Reid’s condition to the dispatcher: “She can barely stand. She can barely sit in a wheelchair. She’s not responding. Sometimes she’s giving unresponsive answers.”
During the call, Reid can be heard slurring her words in the background. The caller confirms they want an ambulance sent to the location and expresses concerns over Reid’s condition, stating, “We need to find out what’s going on. She might’ve taken something. We don’t know.”
The situation escalates as the caller explains, “She goes unresponsive and then wakes up and says she’s fine, but she’s not. She’s hanging on. She can barely walk.” The urgency continues when they share, “She’s falling,” while attempting to get Reid’s attention, to which she responds weakly.

Highlighting the urgency of the situation, the caller reiterates, “She’s a celebrity, just so you know,” noting Reid was not responding as expected. They continue, “She’s laying on the floor in the hallway, and we don’t want her to hit her head if she gets up.” They express concern for her safety, stating, “It’s really bad.”
A representative for Reid has not yet responded to requests for comment.
TMZ was the first to publicize the 911 audio. Footage obtained by the outlet shows the actress being taken from her hotel on a stretcher and placed into an ambulance on November 23, appearing incoherent and unable to stand independently.
On November 25, Reid filed a report with the Rosemont Police Department, claiming she was drugged and completely blacked out after consuming a drink with a stranger at the hotel bar. She recounted the experience, stating, “The next thing I remember was waking up in the hospital around 8 hours or more later not knowing where I was or anything that happened. I am willing to prosecute.”

The Rosemont Public Safety Department has commented on the ongoing situation, expressing their commitment to investigate the severity of Reid’s allegations. They stated that they are in communication with the hotel to procure video surveillance footage.
On December 3, the department informed that the surveillance footage showed no evidence that Reid’s drink had been tampered with. “While video surveillance showed Tara Reid at the hotel bar, at no time did video show anyone tampering with or adding something to her drink,” they confirmed. They are also working with Reid to acquire hospital records that may provide further clarity.
Authorities clarified, “At this time, there is no criminal act that has been committed, and there is no one we are currently investigating.” They added, “While we do not have any evidence that a drink was tampered with, it is a good reminder to never leave a drink unattended.”
Reid, addressing the situation further in a statement, noted, “Bottom line is no one ends up in the hospital incapacitated for over 8 hours after a drink.”
