Jenelle Evans’ parenting journey has been marked by significant challenges and milestones. The reality TV star first gained public attention in 2010 by featuring on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant, as a high school senior anticipating the birth of her first child, Jace Vahn, now 16 years old.
In 2011, Evans joined the cast of Teen Mom 2, allowing viewers to witness her struggles as she navigated the complexities of motherhood while still wishing to enjoy her teenage years. Soon after giving birth to Jace, she temporarily signed over custody of her son—whose father was absent—to her mother, Barbara.
Evans later had two additional children: son Kaiser Orion, 11, with her ex-boyfriend Nathan Griffith, and daughter Ensley Jolie, 9, with her estranged husband, David Eason, from whom she separated in March 2024.
In May 2019, Evans faced significant turmoil when she temporarily lost custody of her younger children following a disturbing incident involving their family dog. By July of that year, she confirmed that she had regained custody of Kaiser and Ensley.

In September 2022, she made a brief appearance in Teen Mom: The Next Chapter but exited the show soon after. After 13 years, she regained full custody of Jace in March 2023. Jace Vahn Evans, 16

Jace Vahn Evans was born on August 2, 2009. At 17, Evans was filming 16 and Pregnant and was still involved with his father, Andrew Lewis. However, the relationship ended shortly after Jace’s birth, leaving Lewis absent from Jace’s life. Due to tumultuous circumstances, Evans placed Jace in her mother’s custody.
Evans has discussed the emotional toll of not having custody of Jace, stating “This persona that I’m just a bad mom… I do everything in my world for my kids, and I try my hardest to be the best damn mom I can be,” in October 2022.
In March 2023, after enduring multiple custody battles, Evans regained full custody of Jace, sharing the moment via an emotional video where she highlighted her mother’s support of the decision.
Despite living primarily with his grandmother, Jace has enjoyed quality time with his mother and siblings. His 13th birthday celebration included a family dirt biking outing, underscoring their bond.
Kaiser Orion Griffith, 11

Kaiser Orion Griffith was born on June 30, 2014, to Evans and Nathan Griffith. Following their separation in August 2015, the couple has faced numerous custody disputes, yet Evans currently holds primary custody per a 2020 agreement.
Reflecting on her pregnancies, Evans revealed that Kaiser’s delivery was particularly difficult. “One time I almost lost it during pregnancy… I did it natural birth, and it was the worst pain in my life,” she shared.
Now, at 11 years old, Kaiser enjoys good health after overcoming early health challenges. In July 2022, he celebrated his first day of third grade, a milestone that his mother proudly shared online.
Ensley Jolie Eason, 9

Ensley Jolie Eason, born on January 24, 2017, is Evans’ daughter with estranged husband David Eason. Shortly after her birth, Evans shared heartwarming photos, celebrating the beauty of motherhood.
Tragedy struck when a family dog bit Ensley’s face, leading to the dog’s shooting by Eason, a situation that resulted in significant public backlash and ultimately, Evans’ departure from Teen Mom 2.
Despite the turmoil, Evans regained custody of Ensley and Kaiser in July 2019, expressing her happiness upon reuniting with her children. As Ensley turned 6 in January 2022, Evans reminisced fondly about her daughter’s growth and potential.
In recent months, Evans has shared Ensley’s budding interest in makeup, showcasing her talent through social media posts. In May 2023, she proudly celebrated Ensley’s kindergarten graduation, marking another milestone in the young girl’s life.
