### Houston Model Responds to Divorce Controversy
Houston-based model Marissa Springer has spoken out following the emergence of a video showing her kissing TikTok star Desmond Scott. This incident coincided closely with Scott’s recent divorce announcement from influencer Kristy Scott.
“I’m gonna get hate regardless if I post a video or not, but I just wanted to clear my name,” Springer stated in a TikTok video uploaded on January 18.
Kristy Scott filed for divorce from Desmond on December 30, 2022, after over 11 years of marriage, a decision that surprised their combined following of more than 30 million fans, who had followed the couple for their parenting insights and relationship content. Court records reveal that Kristy cited infidelity as the basis for their split.
On January 15, just days after the divorce news broke, TMZ released a video of Desmond and Springer sharing a kiss at Sante, a bar in Houston. This revelation fueled speculation regarding Desmond’s fidelity during his marriage to Kristy.
In her TikTok response, Springer emphatically denied those allegations, asserting, “I’m gonna say this one time and one time only: I’m not the one he cheated with.” She explained that their encounter was spontaneous and that she was unfamiliar with Desmond prior to meeting him at the bar.
“I’m pretty sure when you guys meet someone at a club, you don’t interrogate them about who or what their social media status is,” she noted. “The vibes were there.”
Springer also addressed rumors about her personal life, dismissing claims that she had a boyfriend or had asked Desmond to buy her anything. “Moral of the story, nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors,” she concluded. “And it should never reach the extent of having death threats to you or your family.”
While Desmond has not made a public statement regarding his kiss with Springer, he did acknowledge his divorce from Kristy on January 10 via an Instagram post. He offered apologies to Kristy and his family, admitting, “I know this news has been disappointing for many, and I’m truly sorry for the hurt it has caused.”
Desmond indicated he has taken responsibility for his actions, which ultimately led to the decision to divorce. “I ask for privacy and compassion as we navigate this difficult chapter of our lives,” he said.

Since his divorce announcement, Desmond has continued to remain active on social media, sharing posts about his culinary endeavors while navigating this challenging period. Kristy has yet to directly comment on her divorce filing, but observers believe she has hinted at her feelings through recent posts. In one Instagram story from January 14, she posed in a striking red dress atop a kitchen table, accompanied by the caption, “same address.”
As the situation develops, both Desmond and Kristy continue to manage their public personas amidst the scrutiny of their followers.
