If you were active on TikTok last spring, you may have encountered the so-called “royal wedding”.
Influencer Jazmyn Smith and her husband, Kevin Callari, tied the knot in May 2025, attracting significant online attention—largely due to Smith’s innovative approach to documenting her big day.
The event, often referred to as the “royal wedding,” drew numerous popular influencers to Oheka Castle, the New York venue famously featured in Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” music video. Smith later detailed the meticulous planning that went into their social media content, enlisting an assistant to organize a list of desired videos based on her outfit changes.
Smith recounted in one of her videos that her assistant’s primary responsibility was to ensure the timely execution of these video ideas, which typically took less than a minute to film. In addition to her assistant, Smith hired several others to capture every moment from various angles.
Among those she recruited was Kaki Kirk, who crafts content for both herself and other influencers.

Kirk reflected on her unexpected involvement in wedding videography, stating, “She honestly just took a chance on me because I’ve never done wedding videography. I thought, if I’m already doing my own videography things on my account, why not try it for someone else?”
At the wedding, she noted that at least six photographers and six videographers worked to capture the events. “I tried to be the first one to get mine posted,” she explained. “Right after the wedding, I edited it immediately. I think it kind of just blew up from there.” Despite her rising fame, Kirk had already gained traction on social media prior to capturing the “royal wedding,” notably with a nostalgic compilation video of her college senior year that went viral on TikTok.
Her unique style, characterized as vintage and infused with a genuine appreciation for her subjects, contrasts with her age of just 23.

Following her graduation, an agent reached out to her, prompting her realization, “Oh, so I could make money from doing this, which is really crazy.” Since then, she has collaborated with various figures, including influencer Greta Louise Tome and Broadway star Aaron Tveit for the premiere of Chess.
Kirk’s partnership with streaming service Hulu has further established her in the industry, where she has worked on social media for several new TV shows, including Ryan Murphy’s All’s Fair. She attributes her evolving career trajectory to the experience gained at Smith and Callari’s wedding.
Sharing her aspirations, she remarked, “I feel like I’m hitting that point to a certain extent, being able to be on these world tours for TV shows. I might be on some sets next year shooting behind the scenes for that.” She relishes being behind the camera, emphasizing her passion for creating memorable experiences for others, whether for brand partnerships or individual projects.

Kirk acknowledges the challenges of navigating the dynamic landscape of content creation, admitting that understanding how to price her services has been a learning experience. With guidance from her manager and father, she has gained confidence in valuing her work. As her career rapidly progresses, she highlights the significant financial potential, noting, “Something like a Hulu job could be going up to $50,000,” while brand deals could potentially reach similar figures.
Kirk’s journey has taken her from Florida to Tennessee and now to New York, with extensive travel for her work—having flown over 40 times in the past year alone.
Despite her seemingly glamorous life as suggested by her social media profiles, she describes her daily routine as quite ordinary. “I wake up, I make avocado toast every single day. I go to a workout. I live with three other girls,” she shares, humorously noting the contrast between her experiences and those of her housemates.
Discipline plays a vital role in her life, as she organizes her own schedule and manages the uncertainty that can come with freelance work. Despite the excitement of her profession, Kirk emphasizes her preference for working behind the camera. “As much as I like to be on camera, I also love to be behind it,” she concluded.
