Bill Murray, the iconic actor known for his roles in films like Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day, has a family of six sons from two marriages.
The 73-year-old actor first welcomed two sons, Homer, 43, and Luke, 40, with his first wife, Margaret Kelly, during their marriage from 1981 to 1996. With his second wife, Jennifer Butler, whom he married in 1997, Murray welcomed Caleb, 33, Jackson, 30, Cooper, 28, and Lincoln, 20. The couple divorced in 2008 after more than a decade of marriage.
Murray’s relationship with Butler was marked by challenges, highlighted by a notably contentious divorce. Despite this, he reflected on how the experience strengthened his relationship with his sons. "As much as the divorce was very hard, the fallout of it has been really great. I ended up much closer to my guys than I ever would have been," he shared in a 2012 interview with Esquire.
While his younger sons prefer to maintain their privacy, his eldest sons have emerged as public figures in their own right.
