Alix Earle Shares Her Mom’s Breast Cancer Diagnosis During Her Time on DWTS

In a recent social media update, Alix Earle disclosed that her mother, Alisa, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. The 25-year-old influencer addressed her mother’s health during her participation in Dancing with the Stars. On January 11, Alix shared a video on Instagram and TikTok, showing herself and her sister, Ashtin, visiting their mother in the hospital, where they styled her hair and shared moments over ice cream.

The clip featured the phrase “F!ck Cancer,” with a voiceover affirming that “strong women never give up.” Alix expressed pride and admiration for her mother, stating, “Go momma! So proud and inspired by you 💕 no challenge you can’t face and come back stronger .. I love you! #breastcancerawareness.”

Alix revealed that they received the diagnosis halfway through her stint on Dancing with the Stars. She responded to a comment about her competing struggles by clarifying, “We found out about halfway through the season and she still showed up every week 💗.” Alix competed as a runner-up alongside dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy.

In a previous update on January 7, Alix mentioned that her mother was recovering from her operation. She commented on the struggles of managing personal challenges along with her busy travel schedule. “Back home in Jersey, my mom is in the hospital for her operation right now, so I’m going to go see her,” Alix shared, noting her intention to prioritize supporting her mother during this time.

On December 28, Alix also shared that she and her sister had spent the day after Christmas with their mother while meeting with doctors. Struggling with the news, she expressed, “That day was honestly a little hard for me,” acknowledging the challenges of dealing with her mother’s health while participating in the reality show.

Alix has mentioned the emotional toll of her experience in a recent TikTok, stating she had “a lot” going on in her life that she chose not to share during filming. Reflecting on her emotional journey throughout the competition, she expressed relief that she did not divulge personal matters for entertainment’s sake, saying, “I am proud of myself for that.”
