Janelle James and Connor Storrie Share the Nominees for the SAG-AFTRA Actor Awards
SAG-AFTRA announced Monday that the nominations for the newly renamed Actor Awards will be unveiled on Wednesday by Janelle James, star of Abbott Elementary, and Connor Storrie, of Heated Rivalry.
The announcement is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT and will be streamed live on Netflix’s YouTube channel. Following a final voting period from January 14 to February 27, Netflix will host the winners’ ceremony on Sunday, March 1, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
This announcement follows last month’s revelation that Harrison Ford will receive the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award, the highest honor from the guild recognizing both career and humanitarian achievements. The award will be presented during the March 1 ceremony.

Last year, Conclave took home the top ensemble award for films at the previous SAG Awards, while Shōgun and Only Murders in the Building received the top honors for television. Among individual winners was Timothée Chalamet, who secured the Best Actor award for A Complete Unknown. He is expected to be a contender again this year for his role in Marty Supreme, following his victory at the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday.
James has been nominated for four Emmy Awards for her portrayal of Ava Coleman in Abbott Elementary, and she was part of the cast that won the SAG Awards’ ensemble prize in 2022. She recently claimed a Critics Choice Award and has previously received a NAACP Image Award for the same role.
Storrie is gaining attention for his role as Ilya Rozanov in the Crave/HBO Max series Heated Rivalry, where he stars opposite Hudson Williams as Shane Hollander. The LGBTQ hockey drama explores the secret romantic relationship between rival professional hockey players. The series completed its first season in December and has already been renewed for a second season.
