Jay Allen Announces Engagement Following Divorce
Jay Allen has recently announced his engagement to Renée Lynn, marking a new chapter following his divorce from Kylie Morgan. Allen shared the news on December 27 through an Instagram reel, describing the occasion as "A Christmas we’ll always remember."
Just seven months after finalizing his divorce from Morgan, the former contestant of The Voice revealed his proposal to Lynn, which featured a heartfelt moment captured in front of a Christmas tree. The video shows both individuals dressed in black as Allen presents Lynn with a gift. "I don’t know what’s going on," Lynn remarks while unwrapping a white sweatshirt inscribed with "Future Mrs. Allen." As she processes the surprise, Allen kneels down, asking her to marry him.
Allen celebrated his engagement with an accompanying post, stating, "SHE SAID YES!!!!!" He shared his thoughts on love and family, expressing gratitude for Lynn’s patience. "With a sober mind, I can confidently say that I’m in love with you and want a family with you," he wrote.
After announcing the engagement, Allen faced scrutiny on social media and felt compelled to clarify details surrounding his recent divorce. In a statement released on December 28, he addressed rumors about his marriage, alleging that Morgan had an affair that contributed to their separation.
"I found out in the fall of 2024 that it was happening behind my back, in my home," he claimed. Allen described feelings of unhappiness during the marriage, emphasizing a lack of support for his sobriety. He declared that after learning of the alleged infidelity, he felt justified in moving on.
Celebrating 19 months of sobriety, Allen expressed that he is "newly engaged and truly happy." He noted that Lynn had reviewed his statement before they shared it together, affirming their decision to disclose their respective experiences publicly.
Allen further elaborated on his relationship timeline. He maintained that his engagement to Lynn was a carefully considered decision, acknowledging that while it may seem swift to outsiders, it was arrived at after much thought and prayer.
In a pointed rebuttal, Morgan responded through Instagram Stories, indicating her focus on "choosing peace" following their tumultuous separation. She described her journey through therapy and emphasized her commitment to protecting her own well-being.
Morgan previously acknowledged that issues in her marriage to Allen had arisen long before their divorce. "That’s what has really gotten me through this whole process: realizing that my energy is worth protecting," she reflected earlier this year.
The couple finalized their divorce in May 2025, approximately six months after separating. Morgan officially filed for divorce on Valentine’s Day. Allen had first disclosed their separation in an emotional Instagram post, explaining that both he and Morgan had mutually decided to part ways.
As both individuals navigate this new phase in their lives, their stories reflect a complex intersection of love, heartbreak, and personal growth.
