Liam Gallagher, the frontman of Oasis, has announced his decision to return to sobriety after briefly celebrating the completion of the Oasis Live ’25 Tour with drinks. Although he had “a few beers” following the final concert, Gallagher emphasized that this was an isolated incident.
The British rock band concluded their tour on November 23 in São Paulo, Brazil. Gallagher shared his choice to drink on social media, noting that he had previously committed to staying away from alcohol and other substances for the tour.
In a recent exchange on social media, a user commented on a video clip of him performing, suggesting that continued touring would have detrimental effects on his health. Gallagher replied, “Why’s that then?”
He acknowledged his celebratory drinks but indicated he was not feeling affected by them, reaffirming, “I’m back on the righteous path free from temptation.”
Prior to the tour’s conclusion, Gallagher had indicated his plans for celebration. When queried about excess drinking after the final gig, he clarified, “I didn’t you know I had 5 lagers and got my head down I couldn’t be arsed.” Another fan’s advice to stay sober resonated with Gallagher, who expressed satisfaction with his current state of sobriety.

Gallagher’s posts about his brief return to drinking came shortly after he expressed gratitude to Oasis fans for their support during the sold-out tour. “To all OASIS fans around the world THANKYOU from the bottom of my heart,” he wrote. “You absolutely LICKED IT UP TO RAS forever grateful for your ENERGY and BIBLICAL vibes.”
Earlier this year, in preparation for the tour that began in July, Gallagher had committed to abstaining from alcohol, drugs, and cigarettes, attributing this decision to his desire to honor his fans and the band.
Liam Gallagher has previously discussed his struggles with substance use, reflecting on how, if given the chance, he might alter his past habits. He shared that while he does not use drugs as frequently as before, he still enjoys the occasional drink, indicating a balance between his past and present choices.
More recently, Gallagher reiterated his commitment to a healthier lifestyle while acknowledging the challenges of maintaining sobriety.
