Production Scheduled for ‘Circles’ in Early 2026
An exclusive announcement reveals that the independent film Circles, a relationship drama featuring a unique twist, will begin production in early 2026. Directed by Ariel Heller, known for his work on Mammoth, the film is co-written by Heller and Sam Baron, who also stars alongside Alli Brown.
Filming locations will include Idaho and Los Angeles. The plot centers on a couple, Sam and Emma, who, while trying to mend their troubled marriage at a remote cabin, become ensnared in a mysterious time loop that resets every time they lie.
Baron, an award-winning filmmaker who has directed acclaimed short films with Amit Shah, has starred in productions such as Fragile Package and Tippy Toes. Brown is recognized for her roles in BET’s Sistas, Succession, Search Party, and Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens. Joining the cast is Sundance alumni Alexandra Qin, with additional cast members set to be announced soon.
“I’m thrilled to be gearing up for production on this very special project. Sam and I have poured ourselves into the script, as well as relishing the outrageous fun of the premise. We hope to tell a complex personal story that will resonate with anyone who has ever navigated a long-term relationship,” Heller shared.
Production will be carried out by Heller’s company Good Point, alongside producers Kyle Smithers, David Breschel, and Caleb Heller. Executive producers include Alice Seabright, Eric Pearson, and Alexandra Canosa. The creative team recently completed the short film Useless, which follows the story of a man whose use of an AI therapist leads to humbling consequences; that film is expected to tour festivals in 2026.
Good Point, founded by brothers Ariel and Caleb Heller along with Kyle Smithers, operates on an equity finance model. Sam Baron, Alice Seabright, and Alex Qin are represented by UTA, while Alli Brown is represented by Kent Osche at Gersh and Rick Dorfman at Authentic Literary Talent and Management.
