Police Link Two Fatal Shootings in Long Beach
Authorities in Long Beach have confirmed that two shootings occurring just blocks apart on Friday night are connected. The incidents resulted in the deaths of a man and a woman.
The Long Beach Police Department reported the first shooting at 10:51 p.m. on the 1500 block of Summit Street, followed closely by the second shooting at 10:58 p.m. on the 1600 block of West 19th Street.
In the initial incident, a woman was discovered with a gunshot wound to her upper body. Shortly after, a man was found with a similar injury in the second shooting. As of now, police have not released the names of the victims.
