### Demi Moore Reflects on Aging During Colbert Appearance
On November 11, Demi Moore marked her 63rd birthday by sharing her thoughts on aging during an interview on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” The actress addressed the often-taboo subject and imparted a message of positivity regarding aging.
During the interview, Moore was asked by Colbert to reflect on the past year, a time marked by her successes in “The Substance,” a Golden Globe-winning performance, and her leading role in “Landman.” She expressed her enthusiasm for the year, stating, “Wow. That’s how I feel. Wow, what a great fun year.”
The Oscar-nominated actress emphasized that aging should not be viewed negatively. “I just feel like this is an amazing time, and anybody who thinks that getting older means life is less is sadly mistaken,” she remarked. This candid discussion is not new for Moore, who has frequently spoken about her evolving perspectives on aging, particularly during promotional appearances for “The Substance,” a 2024 horror film exploring themes of youth and identity.
In a previous interview with PEOPLE at the Gotham Awards in December 2024, she shared insights on her relationship with aging, admitting to having spent too much time judging herself in earlier years. “I can recognize that over the course of my whole life,” she noted, reflecting on her past self-doubt.
“I can look back and go at 20, at 30, I was finding things that weren’t good enough,” Moore explained, adding, “My relationship with [aging] now is much more in a joyous acceptance.” She acknowledged that while there might be aspects of aging she wishes were different, the broader perspective of her life allows her to appreciate who she is beyond physical appearances.
A few months ago, Moore, who has three daughters with ex-husband Bruce Willis, reiterated her excitement about this stage of life. “This is the most exciting time of my life,” she told the co-hosts of “Today,” emphasizing her newfound independence and autonomy. “I don’t know what that looks like or where it is,” she concluded, “But I’m just excited to be living in it.”
